PLAXEL or PLAXEL PLUS?

Plaxel Plasma Pen

The PLAXEL plasma pen is a premium-grade plasma fibroblast skin tightening device designed for esthetic professionals and manufactured in Korea. Korea is known to have an outstanding reputation for manufacturing high-end medical equipment and esthetical devices, and PLAXEL is the first in its class to offer the latest True Plasma technology.

Plasma technology is advancing in a new direction, and it's about time! Electric devices, which are still widely used across the market, have plagued the industry with a reputation of undesirable results, long recovery times, and raised safety concerns over the technology. While it's still possible to produce results with electric devices, the technology is far less forgiving to new technicians getting started with offering plasma treatments if they don't know exactly what they are doing.

History of the PLAXEL

The PLAXEL plasma pen, was created in 2017 and was inspired by the PLEXR plasma machine. PLEXR is a medical-grade plasma machine that costs ten's of thousands of dollars and is only available to medical doctors. The PLAXEL plasma pen was created to offer the same effectiveness as the PLEXR machine but at a far more cost-efficient price point for medical and skincare professionals worldwide. The original PLAXEL in 2017 was still an electric device similar to most devices you'll find on the market today, but in September 2019, the manufacturer upgraded their PLAXEL line with an all-new breakthrough technology called "True Plasma". Aside from the impressive results, this new technology offers a better recovery experience and overall is a far safer technology for professionals to use.

PLAXEL & PLAXEL PLUS

PLAXEL | PLAXEL+ | PLAXEL PLUS

There are two versions of this revolutionary technology, the PLAXEL and PLAXEL PLUS. Both PLAXEL and the PLAXEL PLUS are CE certified, and both offer the latest and most advanced "True Plasma" technology.

So what are the differences between the two different versions?

The only difference between the two devices is that the PLAXEL PLUS offers the cordless and rechargeable capability and can also be plugged into the wall with an attachable cable. It is important to note, that the PLAXEL PLUS is not a completely cordless device as you'll still require a thin cable to connect to the base of the pen where the battery is held (this is one of the reasons we don't recommend the PLAXEL PLUS).

The PLAXEL on the other hand is built with a hard-wired 6-foot long cable that plugs directly into the wall.

So which device is right for you?

Well, it comes down to your personal preference, if you already have prior experience with a cordless device and are looking to upgrade to the PLAXEL or PLAXEL PLUS then it might suit you best to go with the PLAXEL PLUS to match the feel of what you are already comfortable using.

Why do we suggest PLAXEL over PLAXEL PLUS?

At World Plasma, we recommend the PLAXEL over the PLAXEL PLUS for a few key reasons. In our training, we discuss the importance of a consistent power source while providing a plasma treatment. Rechargeable / cordless devices can in some cases produce a less consistent power supply, especially when nearing the end of their charge or when dealing with a battery that has weakened over time. For this reason, we recommend our PLAXEL providers be connected directly to the wall with a hard-wired cable to offer the most consistent results for their clients. Not only is this going to guarantee you more consistent results, but it will also save you the additional $250 USD for the rechargeable / cordless capability found in the PLAXEL PLUS.
